“Thank you, Katara.” My voice sounded weak to my ears, but as the faint blue light had dimmed, I felt my strength returning as the pain left. Her eyes were already on me the moment I had opened my own, tears were rolling down her face with joy.
Her hand came to caress where smooth skin met marred and I closed my eyes at the sensation, a small content sigh escaping my lips. Her hands felt cool against my feverish hot skin as she stroked it with soft fingertips. I felt as if I could fall asleep like this, dream that there was never a war to begin with; only peace and companionship among the nations. However, when I felt her warm breathing on my lips, my eyes opened to find Katara leaning forward, our noses almost touching. I saw her eyes were still open slightly, watching me as she was waiting for something. I had a hunch that I knew what it was... With renewing strength, I took a hold of her slender neck carefully. Then I kissed her long and hard. I felt the world disappear around me. Nothing else mattered. Nothing else existed. I was just the two of us alone in the universe. Nevertheless, before the kiss could feel like eternality, Katara moved away tentatively if not a little bit awkward, blue sapphire eyes still gleaming with tears. “Zuko, I’m sor-“ I placed my index finger on her lips, affectively hushing her. “You don’t need to apologize, Katara.” I screwed things up, not you. I should have never asked her to join me on this quest to defeat my sister in the first place, and then none of this would have happened... --- Bold text is where this picture's portrayed from. This has to be the hardest picture till now. You don't want to know how much my neck hurts right now xD Anyway, I love how the background came out (and can still remember all the cussing along the way). The pose ended up lovely, too! At least, that's what I think  This picture is for my Zutara 100 theme list. I want to know what you all think, please be honest with me, I really want to improve on my drawing skills ^^ Zuko, Katara or the other characters off Avatar: The Last Airbender don't belong to me, and never will. The little story I added was a simple copy-paste from one of my fanfics: Onlooker. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
